To be a qualified elector, you must:

And at that same date, you must meet one of the following two conditions:
An elector who is not domiciled in the municipality, but who is the owner of an immovable or the occupant of a business establishment situated on the territory of the municipality must transmit a signed form to the municipality asking to be added to the list of electors.

Persons who are co-owners of an immovable or co-occupants of a business establishment must designate from among themselves, by means of a power of attorney sent to the municipality, only one person who can be entered on the list of electors.

In Wentworth, voting by mail is possible for voters registered on the electoral list as non-domiciled. A written request must be submitted in order to do so.

According to the law, every person, eligible to be registered on the electoral list and who resides continuously or not on the territory of the municipality can apply. It is your responsibility to verify if you are eligible before filing your application to become a member of your Municipal council.
In order to be a candidate for a member of the municipal council, a Nomination Paper must be completed. The Nomination Papers must be properly filled out and filed at the office of the Returning Officer at 175 Louisa Road, Wentworth between September 17th, 2021 and October 1st, 2021 from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. to Noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
